Ammunition

The ammunition for my ambition is the definition of what I am soon to be.
Living life with prosperity
And my smile will last days; longevity
And the boy I love will marry me
What’s just a dream
Will soon be reality
Sitting in my therapist chair
Fighting the inner child in me
That wants to come out and scream “mommy I did it”
But the new found adult in me tells me to quit it
I cant believe with work my dreams are coming true
Ambition is what I have
And goals I am perspiring too
Keep on track like the little engine that could
My engine runs on determination
No coal, fire or wood
I can not allow myself to digress when im being pressed
I just look up to the Lord and I know its only a test
Of my faith to see how strong, I can last
And how long I can hold on

  1. Yeah. I'm glad to have chosen this one to read first. I enjoyed it. For some people, it's hard to see their progress, because things are moving so slowly. I love that you wrote this poem about Faith, Determination, and Goals. This can be a witness to people, so they can review their own lives and see how far they've made it from where they came. Good Poem!
